Are my images uploaded to a server?
No. The AI model runs inside your browser, so your photos never leave your device. Only the model itself is downloaded, once, the first time you use the tool.
Why does the first image take longer?
The first time, your browser downloads the background removal model (about 40 MB). It is then cached, so later images and visits start almost instantly.
Which formats can I download?
You can save a transparent PNG for maximum compatibility or a transparent WebP for a much smaller file. You can also fill the background with any solid colour before downloading.
Can I remove the background from several images at once?
